Het Ostend Film Festival op \u00e9\u00e9n van de grootste filmfestivals in Belgi\u00eb en is een jaarlijks hoogtepunt voor het Vlaamse filmvak. Dit unieke programma duurt tien dagen en de stad verandert in een bruisend festival waar internationale en nationale film- en televisieprofessionals samenkomen voor een publiek van meer dan 46.000 mensen, gemengd met cinefielen, inwoners en toeristen. Het festival ging van start in 2007 en is uiterst publieksvriendelijk, inclusief en gastvrij voor iedereen. Met een uitgebreid aanbod van Vlaamse film en televisie zijn er belangrijke en beroemde sterren op de Oostendse Walk of Dame geweest, waaronder Rupert Everett, Bille August, Pierce Brosnan, Adrien Brody, Moran Atias, Steven Knight om er maar een paar te noemen.<\/p>

Wanneer begint het Filmfestival van Oostende?<\/h2>

Het festival vindt dit jaar plaats van 27 januari tot en met 4 februari 2023, verspreid over de drie festivallocaties Kinepolis Oostende, Kursaal Oostende en De Grote Post. Het wordt de vijftiende editie van het festival en het is de eerste keer dat het evenement op een januari plaatsvindt. Festivaldirecteur Peter Craeymeersch noemt januari \"een echte filmmaand\" door het sterk groeiende filmaanbod.<\/p>

Waar kunt u tickets kopen?<\/h2>

Tickets voor het Filmfestival Oostende zijn online verkrijgbaar of bij drie verkooppunten, Kassa Toerisme Oostende, Kassa Kinepolis Oostende en UiTloket Oostende, Stadhuis. De prijzen vari\u00ebren volgens uur en leeftijd, tussen 18u en 21u: 11 euro, het reductietarief tussen 18u en 21u is 9 euro en korte en kinderfilms zijn 6 euro.<\/p>

Wat kunt u verwachten?<\/h2>

Op het Filmfestival van Oostende krijgt u meer dan zeventig previews te zien, meer dan honderd vertoningen, de openingsfilm is de film 'The Chapel' van Dominique Deruddere die gaat over de drie\u00ebntwintigjarige virtuoze pianiste Jennifer Rogiers die het grootste deel van haar leven met een vreselijk geheim heeft geleefd. U krijgt ook werken te zien als 'Aller\/Retour' van Doroth\u00e9e van den Berghe, 'Baghdad Messi' van Sahim Omar Kalifa en 'LUKA' van Jessica Woodworth. De vier Belgische films gaan op het festival in premi\u00e8re en de cast en crew van elk van deze werken zullen ook aanwezig zijn. Andere premi\u00e8res op het festival zijn de Nederlandse thriller 'Faithfully Yours' en de documentaires 'Argwaan' en 'Marieke - Addicted to Life' over paralympi\u00ebr Marieke Vervoort. Het Filmfestival van Oostende onthult nieuw werk van Darren Aronofsky, Steven Spielberg en andere bekende Oscar-inzendingen. Meester Natali Broods maakte een selectie rond het thema 'Family Dynamics', dat gaat over \"families die het goed hebben, maar waar iets gebeurt dat dat komt verstoren\", zei ze. Het filmfestival wordt traditioneel afgesloten op 4 februari met het Ensors-gala. Presentatoren Kawtar Ehlaloush en Erhan Demirci maken die avond bekend welke fictie, documentaire en animatie een Ensor krijgen.<\/p>
